Doug Weinstein R(B)

Doug is a decorated combat veteran who served with the 1/27th (Wolfhounds) of the 25th Infantry Division in Viet Nam in 1969-70. After discovering Hawaii on his way overseas and spending his R & R on Oahu he decided he would have to find out more about Hawaii after the war.

After being discharged and many visits to all the islands in the 70's Doug moved to the Big Island in 1979. He has been licensed to sell real estate since 1987 and has had a real estate broker's license since 1991. He has vast experience in all aspects of real estate sales and development. He was instrumental in bringing Kohala by the Sea on line. In the mid 90's he founded and was Principal Broker/Owner of Hawaii Suncoast Realty. The company was located in the Kawaihae Shopping Center until 2008.

He and his wife Gail built their home at Kohala Ranch in 2006. He still focuses his real estate sales on the communities in and around Kawaihae such as Kohala by the Sea, Kohala Estates, Kohala Waterfront as well as Kohala Ranch.
